popowayCloud Passbase Key Rotation – August 2020

Dear popowayCloud Customers,

Per requests, popowayCloud Passbase Team now discloses each occurrence of Passbase datacenter key rotation, for user’s records.

Following are the changes on SHA512 value of popowayCloud Passbase transmission private key:

Please note that the key rotation is a systematic upgrade of our security system, and will not affect the passcode of your own Passbase.

Access to popowayCloud Passbase will not be affected. Other products and services will not be affected.

Attached are the general steps to obtain a SHA512 value of a private key on *nix systems, for your reference:

  1. Open terminal.app
  2. Execute the following command:
    echo -n "private_key_goes_here" | openssl sha512
  3. Examine the output against the value posted on this page.
